Geçen gün Harvard Üniversitesi’nden bir doktorun tip 1 diyabet ile ilgili bir çalışma yapmış olduğunu bir yerlerde okudum.. Ve bu çalışma hakkında az çok bilgi alabilmek ve umudumuza umut katabilmek için kendisine mail yolladım..

Hello Sir,
I am Melek YENER from Turkey. My baby is now sixteen mount-old.
On february we learned this disease. He was just nine mount-old.
I have already learnt that your sister is type one diabetic 🙁  ı am very upset because of our chils’ diseases.
But I had an information about your researchs on diabet while reading something about it.
I believe that you are going to be succesfull and make very happy parents wait for that disease’s certain treatment hopefully.
What do you think about the treatment and development of tyye one diabet?
Can you share your opinion with me?

RE : Hello. I’m very sorry to learn that your baby has Type I diabetes. At this time, our work is not ready for clinical trials, let alone treatments, though I am very hopeful that our approach with stem cells will provide new treatments in the future. For this time, the best advice I can give is to use close and regular blood glucose monitoring, and insulin injection, with supervision of your childs’ doctor.
